Obituary of Madelyn L. Ruddy

Madelyn L. Ruddy, 95, of Freehold Township died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at home. She was born in Mayfield, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Ruddy was an associate manager for the Prudential Insurance Company, Holmdel Township before her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church; and a member of Court No. 737 St. Rose of Lima, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1454 Auxiliary, Freehold Women’s Club, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4374 Auxiliary, all of Freehold. She was the widow of Joseph D. Ruddy who died in 2007. Surviving are a daughter, Catherine Ruddy; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Margaret Ruddy; three grandchildren, Kimberly Muzzio and husband John, Keith Hahn and wife Christine, and Rebecca Ruddy; and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Hahn. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Rose of Lima Church would be appreciated.
