Obituary of Sally Ann Dalik

Sally Ann Dalik, 79, of Freehold passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Dalik was born in Neptune Township and was a lifelong resident of the Freehold area. She was a graduate of Freehold Regional High School, Class of 1956 and served as treasurer of her high school reunion committee. She was a legal secretary for Kenneth Smith, Esquire, Freehold before her retirement. Mrs. Dalik was a member and corresponding secretary of the Battleground Historical Society and a volunteer for Open Door and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Molly Pitcher Stichers and crafted countless quilts for children in need. She and her husband extensively traveled to attend their children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Surviving are her husband, Richard J. Dalik; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard J. Dalik, Jr. and his wife Neha and Jeffrey T. Dalik and his wife Heather; a sister, Mary Casteel Oliver and husband Allan; her grandchildren, Caitlin, Bryan, Kyle, Grace, Andrew, and Cora Dalik; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph Paul Dalik, Jr and wife Kathy and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Page; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research would be appreciated.
