Obituary of William J. Burdett

William J. “Bill” Burdett, 85, of Freehold died on August 29, 2017. He was born in Bronx, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956. Mr. Burdett was a graduate of Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He was Vice President of Insurance for Citicorp, New York City before his retirement twenty years ago. He was a communicant of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold Township and a former member of Prince of Peace Council No. 5903, Englishtown. Surviving are his wife, Mary T. Burdett; three daughters, Anne Saragnese and her husband Lino, Karen Burdett and Maureen Burdett; a brother, James Burdett and his wife Patricia; and grandchildren, Daniel and wife Leyla, Kristen, Matthew, Jacob and Grace. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with interment following at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
