Obituary of Christopher W. Smollon

Christopher W. Smollon, 55, of Freehold N.J. formerly of Spring Lake Heights, Mahopac and Lynbrook, N.Y., passed away peacefully on August 13th with many of his loving family and friends surrounding him. He was currently the US Fulfillment Manager for " Nature Delivered" (Graze.com) in Jersey City but also had a diverse working career that he was quite proud of. He began in the mailroom at the New York Times at 16 years old, then worked for several different newspaper publications for many years. He started the NJ operation of "Netflix" from scratch and enjoyed several trips to the "Sundance Film Festival". He spent several years working at the Department of Defense then on to his current position. His work ethic was amazing. Family, friends, music, history, and sports (Jets, Mets and Devils) were also his passions. He was pre-deceased by his parents William and Joan Lecarie Smollon; and his sister Laura Smollon French. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Noreen Miller Smollon; and his sons Brian and Kyle, of whom he was so proud. He is also survived by his sister Claire Entwistle (Paul), brother Matthew Smollon (Mary), sister Beth Margeson (Don) and Aunt Joan Purcaro. Too many to list, nieces and nephews and "greats" that he loved as his own. His extended family of cousins meant the world to him. Also, brothers- in- law Len Miller and Fred French (Karen). A Celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, August 26th, 1:00 PM at Higgins Memorial Home 20 Center Street Freehold, N.J. Please come with happy stories and good memories in tow.
