Obituary of Marie P. Korn

Marie P. Korn, age 99 years, of Freehold Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her home surrounded by multiple generations of her family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1918, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Frances Schmitt and sister to Eleanore Lynch, and the late Otto Schmitt and Louise Schmitt. She worked for Emigrant Savings Bank for 34 years and was a proud member of the Banking Women of America. Marie is survived by her sister, Eleanore Lynch; one son, Dennis and his wife Ellen of Freehold, NJ and one daughter, Veronica Stelzle and her husband Robert of Linden, NJ; three grandchildren, Robert, Danielle and Dennis; one great granddaughter, Ashley and two great grandsons, Kai and Knox; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were entrusted to the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ. A private memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Church in South River, New Jersey.
