John. You were the best son-in-law a mother could ever ask for. You had a caring, loving heart of ten men and always put family first. You helped and took care of me when I was suffering from injury even though the whole time you were struggling with your own ailments. A strong man will be missed, but a stronger spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Now spread your wings John and give Gabriel a run for his horn playing. We will be looking up at the night sky listening for you. With all my love, Diane

Dear Sheri, Matt, Michael and Karisa, I knew John over 10 years. Not only did we work together at Macy's, I considered John to be a great friend of my myself and my wife Laurie. We share a a lot and often discussed the past weekends on Monday mornings when we got to work. It was no secret how proud John was of his family and how much he loved his music. I will never forget John playing several songs when Laurie and I renewed our wedding vows and how proud Sheri looked watching him play. John, you will be sorely missed. Laurie and I will always remember how important you were to us and will pray for you daily. Steve and Laurie Wekar

Peace and Blessings to all of John's family and friends. He will be missed by many. Such a great loss for those who knew him, performed with him and loved him. I've known and performed with John since 1976. A friend and musician. May the light of our Lord ease the sorrow many are feeling as John has finally gone home to Christ. I will see you again John ..... but not yet!

For the whole Berry family, I am very sorry for your loss. I met Jack when Liz and I were in college and your whole family welcomed me and made me feel at home, my home away from home. I remember Sunday dinners at Liz!s house, a great break from dorm food! I met all of her siblings, and Jack was a wonderful guy. The memory that sticks out to me was our trip to Fliorida my junior year for spring break. Jack opened for Jimmy Buffett(my absolute favorite!). We were back stage and I even walked by Buffett's trailer . The concert was absolutely amazing, my best one ever( I have been to at least six). Jack was so good to us, made sure we were taken care of and were close to the stage. I will never forget this trip !!! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you all peace. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

I knew John from Macys and had the pleasure to work with him for 3 years. He was one of the kindest warmest people I ever worked with. When I got promoted I referred to him as "my John Berry" because I felt forever bonded to him. I loved hearing his stories each Monday about his weekend escapades playing with Bruce or Bon Jovi. John worked hard but I knew it was only so he could play hard. I was new in my role as John's supervisor and because he was so open, I felt like we learned together. I'm truly heart broken and wish I knew he was ill. I know he loved his family and was very proud to be a husband and father. He'll be missed. He can play as long as he wants now. RIP John Berry.
