Obituary of Rena E. Domanski
Rena E. Domanski, 95, of Freehold died Monday, May 29, 2017 at Brandywine Assisted Living at Howell. She was born in Freehold and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Domanski was the first female special police officer for the Freehold Police Department where she served until her retirement. She was formerly employed at the A. & M. Karaghuesian Rug Mill, Freehold.
She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Senior Citizens Club, the church’s Altar Rosary Society, and a past president of the American Legion Post No. 54 Auxiliary.
She was predeceased by first husband, Theodore Fariello in 1942; her second husband Adolph “Jake’ Domanski in 1991; and a son, Theodore Fariello in 1987. She was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, Joseph, and William Daley, and three sisters, Nancy Wenzel, Rosaline Stryker Kennedy, and Marion Serwin.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kathleen Domanski; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Fariello; four grandchildren, Lisa Fariello Osborne and husband Robert, Theodore Fariello and wife Melissa, Graig Domanski and his wife Mara, and Kristen Domanski Bullock and husband Sean, and great grandchildren, Michael and Kevin McArthur, Teddy and Lucia Fariello, Evija, Laela, and Indra Domanski, and Justin, Aleah and Jake Bullock; and she was loved by many nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
