Obituary of Arlene Joyce Gottfried

Arlene Joyce Gottfried, 89, of Brick died on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center. She was born in the Bronx to Mae and Harry Taufield. Arlene was a long time Lakewood resident and devoted her life to her family and loving late husband of 55 years, George, who died in 2004. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Randi Gottfried; a daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and John Venezio; a sister and brother-in-law, Rhoda and Sydney Israel; four grandchildren, Allen and wife Melanie, Scott and fiancé Abby, Shari and significant other Scott, and Alicia; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Gabriella and Arielle; and wonderful nieces, a nephew and family. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday at 11:30 a.m. followed by interment at Riverside Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
