Obituary of Lawrence L. Smith

Lawrence L. Smith, of Freehold Township died Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. He was born and raised in Bergen County and had resided in New York City before moving to Freehold 35 years ago. He was a graduate of Leonia High School. Larry was a proud member of Steamfitters Union Local No. 638, New York City. He was a life member and Past Exalted Ruler of B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1454, Freehold. Surviving are wife Karen Ryder Smith; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and Jenna Smith and Darron and Cindy Smith; two brothers, Aaron and Daryl Smith; two sisters, Cathie Paci and Loren Oser; three grandchildren, James, Kate, and Owen Smith; and a host of dear friends. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. B.P.O.E. services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Special Children’s Committee, B.P.O.E. No. 1454, 73 East Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
