For over 60 years, I had the pleasure of calling John a friend and Chief. As kids we served together at St. Peters Church in Freehold and later the Freehold First Aid. John was hired as one of the first full-time Freehold Township Police Officers and he advised me to apply. I became the sixth police officer hired and John and I would work together for over 25 years. Our friendship continued after our tenure at the police department and I was blessed to be with his daughters, by his side, when John left this world. John, you will be sadly missed… rest in peace my dear friend.
