Obituary of Sadie Fulcher

Sadie Fulcher, 86, of Freehold Township died on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Mrs. Fulcher was born in Harlem, New York where she grew up, taught Home Economics at P.S. 35 Stephen Decatur. She then moved her family to Freehold, where she resided and spent the rest of her life. Her husband, Earl Fulcher, died in 2013. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Philip and George Hogan. Surviving are a son, Jeffrey, a daughter Suzanne and husband Sean, grandson Isaiah, sister Henrietta, nieces Phyliss, Beverly, Michelle, Makeda, Rory and Sharon and nephews Philip, George and Bobby; and a host of great-nephews and nieces. The viewing will be held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 3 Waterworks Road, Freehold on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will held at Bethel A.M.E. Church on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Following the interment the repast will be held at the Bethel A.M.E. Church. We sincerely appreciate all expressions of sympathy and condolences. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in honor of Sadie Fulcher may be sent to Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center, CentraState Health Care Foundation, or a remembrance gift to the family of Sadie Fulcher.
