Obituary of George Weber
George H. Weber, 92, of Manalapan Township died, Saturday, July 4, 2015 at home. He was born in Reichenbach, Saxony, Germany and had resided in Lakehurst and Lakewood 69 years ago.
He was employed in the maintenance department of Brockway Glass, Freehold before his retirement.
Mr. Weber was a member of American Legion Post No. 54, Freehold and the Battleground Historical Society, Englishtown.
He served in the U.S. 5th Army during World War II.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Laurie Faccone.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Whalen Weber; a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Sally Weber, Freehold; four daughters, Margaret Hernandez and husband Francis, East Windsor, Judith Pierce, Long Branch, Nancy Bunt and husband David, Chesapeake, Virginia, and Jeanne Weber and partner Gregory Svanda, Bordentown; seven grandchildren, William and George Teeple, Frank Hernandez Jr, Julie Weber Merrill ,Christopher Weber, and Andrew and Juliette Bunt and eight great grand children.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William L. Frederickson officiating. The interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
