Obituary of Patricia V. Oakley
Patricia V. Oakley, 75, of Manalapan Township and Lake Worth, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Oakley was born in Woodside, New York to William and Veronica McCarthy Huben.
She attended St. Sebastian’s Grammar School and Mary Lewis Academy, both of Queens.
Mrs. Oakley was a communicant of St. Thomas More R.C. Church, Manalapan Township. She enjoyed travelling with her husband and family. She surrounded herself with family and friends and was loved by all.
She was predeceased by her parents, a son, Douglas in 2009, and a brother, Robert Huben.
Surviving are her husband, Ward Oakley; a daughter, Donna Oakley Hogan; three brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Barbara Huben, John and Carol Huben, and Kevin and Josephine Huben; a sister, Joanne Greenberg; a sister-in-law, Susan Huben; two grandchildren, Amanda Hogan and Douglas Oakley; 22 nieces and nephews; and 27 great nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 58 Main Street, Englishtown on Saturday at 11 a.m. followed by entombment at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, Marlboro. Memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Leukemia/Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org) would be appreciated.
