Obituary of Elvera G. Palazzola

Elvera G. Palazzola, 99, of Monroe Township died on February 13, 2017 at Princeton Medical Center. Mrs. Palazzola was born in Astoria, N.Y. and was the last remaining person of nine brothers and sisters. She was the alterations manager at Henri Bendel, New York City where she was employed for over 50 years until her retirement at age 81. Mrs. Palazzola was diligent at daily prayers, loved books and was an avid reader, and she enjoyed golfing. She was the widow of Frank J. Palazzola who died in 1985. She was also predeceased by a son-in-law, Bob Lubinger. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Rosemarie Palazzola; a daughter, Elizabeth Lubinger; five grandchildren, Jessica, Steven, Keri, Krista, and Robert; and seven great grandchildren, Vincent, Nicholas, Olivia, Matthew, Danielle, Katelynn, and Kara. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, Queens at 1:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
