Obituary of Dorothy VanDerveer

Dorothy VanDerveer, 84, of Morganville died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Township. She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts. Mrs. VanDerveer was a member of the American Legion Post No. 434 Auxiliary, Englishtown. She was the widow of William D. VanDerveer who died in 1996. She was also predeceased by a son, Ronald VanDerveer in 2003 and a daughter, Debbie Masker in 2011. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Linda Caseiro; a brother, Anthony Cotta, two sisters, Evelyn Massey and Beatrice Edward; three grandchildren, Justin, Rosemarie, and Ronald; and four great grandchildren. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by interment at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to American Legion Post No. 434, Englishtown would be appreciated.
