Obituary of James Earl Fenn
James Earl Fenn, 76, was born in Abbeville, Alabama to the late John H. Fenn and Minister Rosa B. Fenn of Henry County. When the family relocated to New Jersey, James attended Freehold Regional High School. He later worked at Twin Counties, Edison NJ, before becoming an owner-operator. He was a very hard worker and his greatest desire in life was to strengthen and improve the quality of life for his family. Giving honor to God and with the timeless support of his wife and family, he became the proud owner of the successful Majors Lounge of Keyport, NJ.
James accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and became a faithful member, Trustee, and Usher at New Hope Baptist Center in Freehold, NJ. He married the love of his life, Annie Pearl Sanks of Carteret, NJ, and made her his wife in 1971.
James Earl Fenn departed this life on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center, in Red Bank, New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents John H. and Minister Rosa B. Fenn; Siblings: Annie Mae Johnson, Kayreen Fenn, Minister Hattie I. Fenn, Pfc. Melvin B. Fenn; and grandson Andre Moultrie.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loyal and devoted wife Annie Pearl; son Guy Anthony of Tinton Falls, son, Michael (Jean) of Cliffwood; and grandsons Courtney (Jennifer) of Miami Gardens, FL, and Michael Sanks , Keyport NJ and five great grandchildren; his siblings: Bennie Mae Warren (James) of Midland City, AL, Essex Leroy Fenn (Rachel) of Lakewood, Calvin Fenn (Regina) of Bayville, Joe Fenn (Katrene) of Colonia, Mollie Graham of Neptune, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
James was kind and polite, even to strangers and tried to help others as much as he could. He now dwells in the house of the Lord and is undoubtedly rejoicing with his family who preceded him in death. James treasured his parents and siblings and the tremendous love he had for others. In his absence from life on earth, James bids his love and peace to all his family and friends. His life was a blessing and his presence and positive aura will truly be missed.
