Obituary of John Raymond Ferrick

John Raymond Ferrick, 70, a 40 year resident of Freehold died peacefully on November 19, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born on March 17, 1946 in Bronx, N.Y., son of the late Dorothea and John Ferrick. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served honorably in combat during the Vietnam War. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. His love of family, fishing, football and Christmas were but a few of the many things he treasured. He was a friend of Bill W. for the past 34 years. He was a loving big brother of Kathy and Barbara. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Ann Ferrick, in 1986. He was married to his beautiful wife of 47 years, Margaret, to whom his devotion was legendary. In addition to his wife he is survived by his three sons, Tom and wife Melissa, Chris, and Tim and wife Jill; a sister, Barbara Smith and her husband Walter; and three grandchildren, Michael, Carley and Sasha who were his pride and joy. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
