Obituary of Henry K. Paasch

Henry K. Paasch, 78, of Freehold passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Red Bank. Mr. Paasch was the owner and operator of Henry K. Paasch, Inc., an excavating company in Freehold Township.. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Mr. Paasch served as the first and fourth chief of the Freehold Township Independent Fire Company, where he is a charter member; he served on the Board of Fire Commissioners; and was a member of Atlantic Grange No. 212, Colts Neck. He was predeceased by his first wife, Doris D. Hendrickson Paasch in 1973. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie L. Maner Paasch; a son, Dean S. Paasch; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise J. and Francesco Scanga, and Tracy and Andrew Orphanoudakis; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Melina, Adamo, Rachel Lee and Georgia Lee. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Firemen’s services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Donations in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834, or the Freehold First Aid Squad, 18 Spring Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
