Obituary of Violet L. Banks

Violet L. Banks, 99, of Keansburg died on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Bayside Manor, Keansburg. Mrs. Banks was born in Redrow, Pennsylvania and had lived in Perth Amboy and Toms River before moving to Keansburg. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader in Perth Amboy and a former communicant of St. Maximilian Church, Toms River where she was a member of the church choir. Her husband, Peter P. Banks, died in 1998, Surviving are a son, Peter Daniel Banks and his wife, Arleen; two daughters, Carol Kovacs and her husband, Bruce, Manalapan Township and Arlene Wanat and her husband, John A. Wanat, Sr., Jackson Township; her siblings, Violet Dunham and Chester Majewski; her grandchildren, Matthew, Meredith, Patrick, Dawn, John, and Michael; and her great grandchildren, Tiffany, Johnny, Arianna, Evan, Nico, and Jax. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation would be appreciated.
