Obituary of Otis Plummer Williams
Otis Plummer Williams, Jr. of Freehold, departed this life July 20, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was the youngest child and the only son of the late Otis, Sr. and the late Florence Williams.
Otis formerly worked as a chef for The Chapter House. Otis not only enjoyed cooking, he also enjoyed horse racing and watching High States Poker.
Otis was born February 28, 1955 in Long Branch and attended church with his family at Pilgrim Baptist Church, Red Bank, where as a young boy he helped his father clean and prepare the church for Sunday service.
Otis leaves to mourn, his lifetime companion of 37 years, Sharon Crooms,2 sisters, Jean A. Williams, Plainfield, and Dorothy G. Williams, Long Branch; four sons, Andre L. Williams, Brian A. Crooms, Darian E. Crooms, and Kenneith C. Crooms; six grandchildren, I’Brianna Williams, Kayla Crooms, Nikiiya Marrow, Kyrie Carpenter, Saniyah Mae Davis, and Amelia Mae Crooms and a host of loved ones, family, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday at 11:00 a.m.
