Obituary of Margaret M. LaMura

Margaret (Peg) La Mura, 83 of Manalapan Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2016 at home with family by her side. She was born in Neptune Township on March 7, 1933, and had lived in Englishtown, Morganville, and Lake Placid, Florida prior to returning to Monmouth County. She was a parishioner of Saint Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, Lake Placid, Florida for 15 years. Peg was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Alfred J. LaMura; and her brother, Leroy Taylor. Peg is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Al and Jeannie LaMura, and Eugene LaMura; and her daughter, Ruthann Thompson. She is blessed with 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be private. Donations in her memory to St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church; 43 Lake Juna Road, Lake Placid, Florida 33852 would be appreciated.
