Obituary of Kemp Peter Roedema

Kemp Peter Roedema, Jr. of Cape Coral, Florida, Passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in his home. He was 48. Kemp was born January 9, 1968 in Passaic, N.J., the beloved son of Kemp P. and Lucia C. Roedema. Formerly of Marlboro, N.J., he graduated from Marlboro High School. He worked for A&P Super Markets in loss prevention and as Regional Manager of Loss Prevention for B.J.s Warehouse. He moved to Southwest Florida, where he worked in internet sales. He was a loving finance, a devoted father and grandfather, a beloved son, a dear brother, and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Kemp is survived by his loving parents, Kemp and Lucia Roedema, his two daughters, Shawna Roedema, and Christina Roedema and her fiancé Ted Dalton; and a son Jesse Roedema and his wife, Mitchell. He also leaves behind his beloved fiancé, Maria Morais and her children, Melissa, Kaitlyn, and Matthew Morais. Kemp is also survived by his two brothers, Kurt Roedema and Kevin and his wife Melissa Roedema. Kemp is also the loving grandfather of Madison and Emilia Roedema. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Wednesday at 10:00 am. The internment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery.
