Obituary of Mary Eleen Jackson

Mary Eleen Jackson, 83, of Freehold passed away at home on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 surrounded by her children. Mrs. Jackson, daughter of the late James C. and Lauretta Layton Ryan, was born in Lakewood and was a lifelong Freehold resident. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold and a former member of the St. Rose of Lima P.T.A. She was a graduate of St. Rose of Lima School and Cathedral High School, Trenton. Her husband of 58 years, James H. Jackson, died in 2011. She was also predeceased by a brother, Thomas Robert Ryan. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Lawrence J. Jackson, Garry R. Jackson, Jill and Glenn Guy, Kenneth P. and Amelia Jackson, Susan and Robert McDonald, Judy and John Dawes, Jr., Amy and Brian Pavlovich, and Gail and Richard Ginn; two sisters, Nancy Daley and Susan Conover and her husband Alan; a sister-in-law, Patricia Burke; 14 grandchildren, Christopher and Andrew Guy, Mariel and Calli Jackson, Benjamin, Patrick and Lilly Dawes, Thomas and Tara McDonald, Julie and Jackson Pavlovich, and Liam, Seamus, and Declan Ginn; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
