Obituary of Gertrude Horowitz

Gertrude Horowitz, 81, of Hightstown died Thursday, August 17, 2006 at The Elms, Cranbury. Mrs. Horowitz was born in Perrineville and had lived in the area for many years. She was secretary-treasurer of H&H Gas Company, Windsor. Mrs. Horowitz was a long time member of the Perrineville Jewish Center and served on the center’s Chevra Kadisha for many years. She was a member of the East Windsor Township Juvenile Council and the Business and Professional Women’s Association, Hightstown. Surviving are her husband, Harry; two sons, Larry and his wife, Cynthia, and Kenny and his wife, Shelly; and five grandchildren; Dustin, Rebecca, Joseph, Danielle, and Stephanie. Funeral services will be held at the Perrineville Jewish Chapel, Perrineville on Friday at 4:00 P.M. followed by interment at the Perrineville Jewish Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Perrineville Jewish Center, PO Box 308, Perrineville, NJ 08535 would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
