Obituary of Gerry Young Olert

Gerry Young Olert, 93, of Lincroft died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft. Mrs. Olert was born in Bayonne and had lived in South Jamesport, N.Y. before moving to Lincroft. She was the widow of John Olert (F.D.N.Y. Retired) who died in 1990. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Curtin. Surviving are two sons, Jack Olert and his wife Mary, and Brother Stephen Olert, F.S.C., a daughter, Geri Dunne and her husband Frank; a son-in-law, Bob Curtin; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. The viewing will be held at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft on Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 P.M. with the Funeral Liturgy to be celebrated at 3:45 P.M. and evening viewing hours from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. The interment will be held at Jamesport Cemetery, South Jamesport, N.Y. on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. Memorial donations to the De La Salle Nursing Fund, 810 Newman Springs Rd., Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
