Obituary of Sharon Wright Davis

Sharon Davis Wright, 51, of Freehold died Friday, September 8, 2006 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune Township. She was born in Neptune Township and had lived in Freehold all her life. She was a school crossing guard at Center and Jackson Streets in Freehold and lunch room aide at the Park Avenue School, Freehold. She was the recipient of the Optimist Club of Freehold Respect for Law Award in 2006 and was honored by Freehold Borough Mayor and Council on May 31, 2006 with a resolution in recognition of her service to the children of Freehold. She was a graduate of Freehold High School, Class of 1973. Her father, John R. Davis, Sr., died in 1999. Surviving are her husband, Moses “Tony” Wright; a son, Moses John Wright, Freehold; two daughters, Latoya J. Blair, Freehold and Lanesha G. Wright, Sayreville; her mother, Gloria Davis, Freehold; five brothers, John R. Davis, Jr., Greensboro, N.C., Jeffrey and Rodney Davis, both of Neptune Township, and James C. and William Davis, both of Freehold; three sisters, Sheila Texidor, Sandra Davis, and Shirley Ousley, all of Freehold; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. The viewing will be held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 3 Waterworks Road, Freehold on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held at the church on Friday at 11:00 A.M. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
