Obituary of Phyllis Ryser Thorne

Phyllis Ryser Thorne, 84, of Freehold Township died Monday, September 11, 2006 at home. Mrs. Thorne was born in Philadelphia, PA and lived in Whiting and Point Pleasant before moving to Freehold nine months ago. Mrs. Thorne was a longtime member of The First -Park Baptist Church, Plainfield, N.J. , and was a former member of the North Plainfield Women’s Club. She is also a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Rev. Phyllis A. Heffner , Columbus, Ohio; and Janet E. and Gary C. Smith of Freehold Township. Memorial Services will be held at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Visiting Nurses Association of Central NJ Hospice, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements.
