Obituary of Richard C. Newkirk
Richard C. Newkirk, 63, of Millstone Township died Saturday, September 30, 2006 at home. Mr. Newkirk was born in Jersey City and had lived in Old Bridge Township before moving to Millstone Township eight years ago.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966.
Mr. Newkirk was the owner of CNC Inc., a computer consulting firm in Millstone Township.
He was a communicant St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Perrineville section of Millstone Township and a member of the Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club.
He was predeceased by his mother, Grace R. Matthews Newkirk in 1989 and a brother, Robert P. Newkirk in 1984.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine Carlin Newkirk; two sons, Matthew M. Newkirk, Robbinsville and Timothy Newkirk, Galloway Township; a daughter, Megan A. Newkirk, at home; his father, Charles A. Newkirk, Totowa; two sisters, Jane H. Cunningham, Bloomingdale and Grace R. “Tinker” Gamarello, Mantoloking; and a granddaughter, Natalie Rae.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 91 Stillhouse Road, Perrineville on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad Street, Shrewsbury, NJ 07702 would be appreciated.
