Obituary of Mary Burtt

Mary Burtt, 81, of Freehold died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Mrs. Burtt was born in Freehold and was a lifelong resident. She was deputy commissioner of Registration for the County of Monmouth, Freehold where she was employed for 30 years before her retirement 16 years ago. Mrs. Burtt was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. Surviving are her husband, Howard Burtt; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Lynn Burtt and William and Ann Burtt, all of Freehold, and James and Nancy Burtt, Willow Grove, Pennsylvania; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and David Lovelace and Colleen and Robert Ray, all of Freehold; a brother, Charles Layton, Tewksbury, Massachusetts.; two sisters, Emily Canty, Buzzard Bay, Massachusetts, and Marjorie Voltz, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren, Lori, Brian, Michael, Kelly, Danielle, Robert, Jaime, Colleen, T.J., and Nicole; and four great grandchildren; Katelyn, Katie, Sally, and Logan. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
