Obituary of Cecilia Rose Madden

Cecilia Rose Madden, 88, of Freehold Township died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at home. Mrs. Madden was born in Newark and had lived in Jersey City for many years. She had resided in Point Pleasant before moving to Freehold 13 years ago. She was a telephone operator for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, Jersey City. Mrs. Madden attended St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold Township and Christ Church, Howell Township. She loved God, family and friends and was a light to the world. She did not have a lot of possessions but what she did have-love-she gave out freely. She was the widow of John F. Madden who died in 1994. Surviving are two sons, John Madden, Point Pleasant and Mark Madden Bostic, N.C.; four daughters, Geraldine Austin, Whiting, Margaret Davis, Palm Bay, Florida, Cecilia Mullanaphy, Freehold Township, and Mary Madden, New Lisbon; 22 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Christ Church, 71 Oak Glen Road, Howell Township on Monday at 11:00 A.M.
