Obituary of Melvyn Allen

Melvyn “Butchie” Allen, 60, of Lakewood died Sunday, November 12, 2006 at home. Mr. Allen was born in Neptune and had resided in Englishtown before moving to Lakewood 25 years ago. He was a Sales Manager for Pinebelt Chevrolet in Lakewood. Surviving are his wife, Denise Allen; a daughter, Melanie Allen at home; two step-sons, Rick Ferguson and his wife India of Barnegat, Jermaine Ferguson, Neptune; three brothers, James Allen and his wife Dorothy of Howell, Curtis Allen of Lakewood, and Gregory Allen of Voorhees; a sister, Sheila Outerbridge-Bey and her husband Dominque of Baltimore, Maryland; 12 grandchildren, Bryan, Jasmyn, Rick Jr., Tymel, Kyara, Amani, Guyvon, India, Izshanaya, Anyia, James and Jermaine Jr; and loving mother in law Thelma McBride. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 12:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00A.M. until the time of the service.
