Obituary of Tyler Gerard Horneck

Tyler Gerard Horneck, 19, of Freehold Township died Friday, August 14, 2015 in Freehold Township. He was born in Rahway. Tyler was a graduate of Freehold Township High School, Class of 2014. He was a New Construction Development Team member for Smith, Asbury Park. He was an avid baseball player, dirt bike rider, and basketball player. Tyler once struck out 46 batters in a row during the playoffs of Little League. Tyler is also known by his family and friends for his love and laughter. Surviving are his parents, Frank G. and Tammy Brunette Horneck; his brothers and sisters, Frank and wife Zoe and their children Gretta Grace and Escher Morrison, Erik, Kirsten and her fiancé James Baldwin, Arielle, and Tanner; his maternal grandfather, Frank D. Brunette and his wife Aurora; aunts, Meg Brunette and Kyle Lepree, uncle and aunt, Frank D. and Theresa Brunette and their children, Griffin and Ana-Gem; and an aunt and uncle, Melanie and Rolf Neumann. Tyler was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Julius and Grace Horneck and his maternal grandmother, Margaret Brunette. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by entombment at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, Marlboro Township.
