Obituary of Gustave Lomartire

Gustave Lomartire, 89, of The Villages, Howell Township died Friday, January 5, 2007 at Bartley Manor, Jackson Township. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had resided there before moving to Howell Township 10 years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a clerk for the U.S. Navy before his retirement. Surviving are a son, Paul Lomartire; a daughter, Julie Larsen; his beloved companion, Carmen Ortiz and her children, Mildred Lennett, Jody Alvino, and Jennifer Feeney; and her six grandchildren; a sister, Josephine Valenti, three grandchildren; and a great grandchild. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y.
