Obituary of George Garcia
George Garcia, 63 of Monroe Township, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Havana, Cuba, he lived in Carteret prior to moving to Monroe Township 11 years ago. Mr. Garcia was a car hauler for Local No. 467, Hazlet for 25 years, retiring four years ago. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Englishtown. Surviving are his wife, Charmagne Karmazin Garcia; a son, George Garcia, Jr., Tinton Falls; two daughters and sons-in-law, Allison and Fred Russo, Howell Township, and Divine and Neil Morgenstern, Manalapan Township; a sister and brother-in-law, Aida and Jesus Mesa, Miami, Florida; and seven grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley, Brittany, Anthony, Elizabeth, Jake, and Michael. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Friday, January 12, 2007 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Englishtown. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
