Obituary of Mabel E. Hawthorne

Mabel E. Hawthorne, 95, of Freehold Township died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Hawthorne was born in Jersey City and had resided in Freehold most of her life. Mrs. Hawthorne was a saleslady for Britt’s, Freehold Township. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Freehold. She was the widow of Harry Hawthorne who died in 1988. Surviving are two sons, Harry J. Hawthorne, Freehold Township and Jack W. Hawthorne, Virginia; two daughters, Elizabeth F. Higgins and Joyce L. Davino, both of Freehold Township; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 118 West Main Street, Freehold on Monday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Cindy Bowman officiating. The interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
