Obituary of George Jack Sahl

George Jack Sahl, 81, of Freehold died Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Care One of Holmdel. Mr. Sahl was born in Buffalo, N.Y. and had resided in St. Charles, Missouri before moving to the Freehold area 40 years ago. Mr. Sahl was an engineer for Quincy Pneumatic, Quincy, Illinois and a graduate of Chaminade High School, Minneola, N.Y. and Mount St. Mary’s College, Maryland He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Ida Sahl and three brothers, Colonel Frederick Sahl, William Sahl, and Leonard Sahl. Surviving are his wife, Geraldine A. Hennigan Sahl; three sons and daughters-in-law, John Patrick and Joanne Sahl, Craig Frederick and Mary Sahl, and Daniel Michael and Diane Sahl; a daughter, Corrine Ann Kelly; and six grandchildren, Courtney and Sean Kelly, and Kellene, Kristen, Jackson, and Connor Sahl. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold on Monday at 10:00 A.M. Memorial donations may be made to the Greater New Jersey Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
