Obituary of Rafael A. Ramos
Rafael A. Ramos, 62 of Freehold Township died Friday, January 19, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, he lived in New York, New York prior to moving to Freehold Township 19 years ago. Mr. Ramos was an electrician for I.B.E.W. Local 3, Flushing, New York for 41 years, retiring two years ago. Surviving are his wife, Gwendolyn T. Williams Ramos; a son, Rafael Arnando Ramos, Tampa, Florida; a daughter, Lia Denise Vander Nat, Beaufort, South Carolina; three stepsons, Leroy, Bruce and Keith Lynch, all of New York, New York; two brothers, Johnny and Lucas Ortiz, both of Laurel, Maryland; a sister, Luisa Glover, Laurel, Maryland; two grandsons, Nicholas Vander Nat and Rafael Armando Ramos; ten step grandchildren; and his former wife, Norma D’Oyen-Ramos, New York, New York. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Donations in his memory to St. Charles Borromeo R.C. Church, 211 West 141st Street, New York, New York 10030 would be appreciated.
