Obituary of Fiore Castronova

Fiore Castronova, 93, of Freehold Township died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in Jersey City and moved to Freehold at a young age. He was a self employed mechanic working out of the garage he owned in Freehold. He was predeceased by his wife Helen Doris Cottrell Castronova in 1999, and 11 brothers and two sisters. Surviving are a son, Fiore Castronova Jr., Freehold Township; two Daughters, Eleanor Mae Cole, Freehold, and Maryanne Ball, Shamokin, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. Monday at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street., Freehold. Funeral services will be held 11:30a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
