Obituary of Maj. John A. Papernik

Major John A. Papernik (Ret.), 76, of Marlboro Township died Sunday, January 21, 2007. He was born in Bronx, N.Y. and resided in Marlboro Township for the past 37 years. He was a career U.S. Army officer seeing action in Vietnam, during his service was awarded many honors including the Bronze Star, and three Purple Hearts. He retired as a major in 1971. Surviving is his wife, Beverly J. Quackenbush Papernik, Marlboro Township; a son, Steven Papernik, Marlboro Township; a daughter, Bonnie Papernik and her daughter, Anissa, both of New York City, New York; and a brother, Charles Papernik, Edison. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick at 11:00 A.M., friends are asked to gather at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M.
