Obituary of James M. Iverson
James M. Iverson, 79 of Freehold Township, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at home. Born in Freehold, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Iverson was a conductor for New Jersey Transit, Newark, for many years, retiring 14 years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War Two; and a member of the American Legion Post 54, Freehold. His wife, Elizabeth Neiberlien Iverson, died in 2003. Surviving are two sons, James Iverson, Jr., Toms River, and John Iverson and his fiancé Linda Richter, Plainsboro; a daughter, Joanne Voorhees, New Egypt; five grandchildren, Roxanne, Chloe, Carly, Brandon, and Brittney; and a great granddaughter, Gianna. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold.
