Obituary of Marion Sokol
Marion Sokol, of Colts Neck Township died Sunday, February 4, 2007 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born Marion Elizabeth Sandy on July 8, 1920 to Thomas S. and Florence Dubois Sandy in Freehold, she was a lifelong resident of Monmouth County. She graduated from Freehold High School in 1938 and married Jerry Sokol on January 24, 1943 at the Dutch Reformed Church of Freehold. Mrs. Sokol was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Thomas S. Jr., and William A. Sandy. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Fred Wessel, Cedarburg, Wisconsin; her son and daughter-in-law, J. Peter and Jeanne Lehman Sokol, Colts Neck Township; her grandchildren, Ana J. Sokol and Lauren E. Sokol, Colts Neck Township Jason A. Wessel, Cedarburg, Wisconsin and Erik J. and Bridget Bloom Wessel, Grafton, Wisconsin; sisters-in-law, Olivia A. Sandy (Mrs. William A. Sandy) and Elsie Sokol, both formerly of Freehold; and nephew, Kenyon and Kimberlie A. Daniel Sandy of Oakwood. A memorial service will be held at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, 72 Route 537 West, Colts Neck on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 4:30 P.M.
