Obituary of Ezio Joseph Fragale

Ezio Joseph Fragale, 79, of Freehold Township died Sunday, February 4, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Fragale was born in San Marco, Cosenzo, Italy and emigrated to the United States when he was five years old. He had resided in Brooklyn, N.Y and Manalapan Township for many years before moving to Freehold Township one and a half years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Fragale was employed as a postal worker at the Jersey City Bulk Mail Center, Secaucus before his retirement. He was an avid N.Y. Mets fan and enjoyed going to the movies. His beloved wife of 41 years, Sylvia Fragale, died in 1993. He was also predeceased by a brother, Vincent Fragale, in 2002 and his companion, Eva Shapiro, who died in 2005. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Cynthia Fragale, Brick Township; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Robert Klein, North Brunswick and Denise and Michael J. Ruppel, Jackson Township; a brother, Armondo Fragale, Winter Garden, Florida; and five grandchildren, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Amanda Ruppel, Caitlin Brown, and Angela Fragale. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:00 A.M. The interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown at 10:30 A.M.
