Obituary of Esther B. McLaughlin

Esther B. McLaughlin, 88 of Penhook, Virginia, died Monday, February 5, 2007 at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital, Rocky Mount, Virginia. Born in South Amboy, she lived in Cheesequake, Freehold Township and Waretown prior to moving to Penhook, Virginia two years ago. Mrs. McLaughlin was a secretary for DuPont Chemical, Parlin for 30 years, retiring several years ago. Her husband, Leo J. McLaughlin, Sr. died in 1984. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Leo J. Jr., and Ruth McLaughlin; Penhook, Virginia; two grandsons, Guy William McLaughlin and Leo J. III, and his wife Staci; and two great grandchildren, Katharine Rose and Leo J. McLaughlin, IV. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 12, 2007 at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
