Obituary of John L. Battagliola

John L. Battagliola, 84, of Manalapan Township died Monday, February 12, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Battagliola was born in New York City. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Battagliola was an office manager for Linden Meyer, Long Island City, N.Y. before his retirement. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Englishtown; and a member of Manalapan Township Seniors at St. Thomas More Church, and Seniors First. He was predeceased by a daughter, Christine M. Battagliola, in 1996. Surviving are his wife, Lillian Volpe Battagliola; a son and daughter-in-law, John S. and Anne Battagliola, Manalapan Township; and two grandchildren. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Englishtown on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
