Obituary of John Vitomski
John Vitomski, 87, of Manalapan Township died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Vitomski was born in New Jersey and was a lifelong resident of Manalapan Township. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in both the European and Pacific Theaters of Operations. Mr. Vitomski was employed by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for 30 years and also was a farmer in Manalapan Township. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Englishtown. Surviving are two sons, Michael and Thomas Vitomski; a daughter, Barbara Van Note; a sister, Jennie Mount; and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Brian Kowalczyk; and a friend, Layne Sultana. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Memorial donations to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 216 Haddon Ave., Suite 328, Westmont, NJ 08108 or any animal shelter would be appreciated.
