Obituary of Lester W. Maghan
Lester W. “Luke” Maghan, 81 of Howell Township, died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Colts Neck, he lived in Howell Township most of his life. Mr. Maghan was a factory worker for Harwood Plastics, Farmingdale for over 40 years, retiring in 1990. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War Two. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jane White Maghan; four daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Paul Kelly, Beach Haven, Joyce Maghan and her husband Lucian Hamm, Fayetteville, Georgia, Joann and Kenny Price, Freehold Township, and Jacki and Frank Cogar, Oakhurst; two brothers, Joseph Maghan, Howell Township, and James Maghan, Fort Pierce, Florida; a sister, Betty Textor, Wall Township; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on March 17, 2007 at Ardena Baptist Church, Howell Township. Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
