Obituary of Renee Marowitz

Renee Marowitz, 82, of Clearbrook, Monroe Township died Friday, March 2, 2007 at home. Mrs. Marowitz was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Freehold from an early age until moving to Monroe Township in 1975. She was a graduate of Freehold High School and attended Temple University in Philadelphia. She was an avid social dancer, card player, and a basketball fan. Earlier in her life, Mrs. Marowitz had been employed by Davidofsky Dairies, Freehold Raceway, and her family-owned Pinky’s Tot and Teen Shop in downtown Freehold. She was predeceased by her parents, William Riemer in 1967 and Fay Riemer in 1988, and by her twin brother, Paul Riemer in 1959. She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Alex Marowitz; 12 nephews and nieces, Stephen Riemer, Keith Rand, Joseph, Eric, Kenneth, Jay, David, Norman and Leonard Marowitz, Jacqueline Flashnick, and Harris and Nancy Landman; 16 grandnephews and grandnieces; a great grandnephew, a great grandniece, and many cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday at noon with Rabbi Kenneth Greene officiating followed by interment at the Hebrew Benefit Society Cemetery, Freehold. Shiva will be observed on Sunday and Monday at 171A Vernon Road, Clearbrook, Monroe Township.
