Obituary of Helen Tjarks

Helen Tjarks, 88 of Freehold Township died March 4, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Jersey City prior to moving to Freehold Township 29 years ago. Her husband, George Tjarks, Sr. died in 2002. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, George Tjarks, Jr. and Bridget, Freehold; a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Peter Vendetti, Jackson Township; and six grandchildren, Laure, Sheri, and Peter Vendetti, and Jessie, Ryan, and Izabella Tjarks. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Tuesday at 10:00 A. M. The interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
