Obituary of Marcella May Ladd

Marcella May Ladd, 91, of Freehold died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Miss Ladd was born in Millville and had resided in Freehold from her time in Kindergarten class until graduation from Freehold High School in 1935. She entered Tennent College of Christian Education in Overbrook, Pennsylvania in 1938 and graduated with a Degree in Religious Education in 1942. In the 1960’s she returned to reside in the family home in Freehold. She served nine different churches, primarily in Michigan, Illinois, and most recently, in East Orange. Miss Ladd was a member of the Reformed Church of Freehold. She was predeceased by two sisters, June Ladd Prest and Harriet Ladd Kern. She is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews and her little canine companion, Star. Psalm 16:11, “..in Thy presence is fullness of joy…” Visiting will be held at the Reformed Church of Freehold, 67 West Main Street, Freehold on Saturday from 11:00 to noon. Funeral services will be held at the church at noon followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Reformed Church of Freehold would be appreciated. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
