Obituary of Muriel K. Banner

Muriel K. Banner, 77, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Red Bank, died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton. Muriel was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had resided in Red Bank for 17 years before moving to Florida two years ago. She was an administrative supervisor for AT&T, New York City where she spent her professional career before her retirement. Muriel was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church, The Villages and was a volunteer for the Monmouth County Park System. Surviving are five daughters, Susan Banner and her fiancé, John Schweitzer, Matawan, Barbara Banner, Hazlet, Nancy Banner and her husband, David Bowers, Conifer, Colorado, Lynn Fatka and her husband, Mark, Freehold, and Jill Goding and her husband, Kipp, Ewa Beach, Hawaii; and five grandchildren, Jennifer Sloan, Jeffrey King, Courtney Fatka, Ian Goding, and Kellie Schweitzer. Memorial services will be held at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Hazlet on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 11:30 A.M. Interment will be held St. George’s Episcopal Church, The Villages at a later date. Memorial donations to the Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 4949 Ogletown Stanton Road, Suite 107, Newark, Delaware 19713 would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
